Everybody reading this sentence has his or her own version of what could be called a “man cave.” Urban dictionary defines man cave as “a room, space, corner or area of a dwelling that is specifically reserved for a male person to be in a solitary condition, away from the rest of the household in order to work, play, involve himself in certain hobbies or activities without interruption. This area is usually decorated by the male that uses it without interference from any female influence.”
In honor of Father’s Day, we’re taking a peek at the man caves of famous celebrities who are also fathers. Plus, we’ll give you some tips on how to transform any room into your very own man cave!
In our last installment of Celebrity Housefax: Oscars Edition, we feature the one and only, Jeff Bridges. Beloved as The Dude in “the Big Lebowski” and bestowed with an Oscar for his role in “Crazy Heart,” Bridges and his wife, Susan, recently listed this spectacular property for a cool $18.5M.
Working Title Films
Bridges (who received a 7th Oscar nomination this year for his role in “Hell or High Water”) and Susan have called this oasis home since 1994. In a Wall Street Journal interview, Susan shared her husband’s love of the property’s aloe trees and his “fort,” which she described as “a quiet spot with a hammock, swings and benches, where he occasionally makes pottery.”
Born and raised in Alabama, Octavia Spencer landed her first acting role while working behind the scenes of 1996’s “A Time to Kill.” She then moved to Los Angeles where she landed small parts in films and on television. In 2011, her career reached new heights with the hit dramatic film “The Help”, which earned her an Academy Award. This year she’s nominated for her role as NASA mathematician Dorothy Vaughan in the inspiring film, “Hidden Figures.”

In 2013, Spencer bought a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home in Toluca Lake, California, for $841,500 (a steal for Los Angeles real estate).
While modest in size, the 1927 Spanish-style home is filled with character — from dark hardwood floors and plantation shutters to vintage tiles and original fixtures. The property is also in a great location: a block and a half from Toluca Lake boutiques and restaurants on Riverside Drive.

As a nod to Oscar week, we take a peek inside the home of Oscar-winner Goldie Hawn and longtime partner, Kurt Russell. Together since 1983, we fell in love with these two in the quirky rom-com, “Overboard.” A red-carpet staple, they share four children between them and two Oscar nominations for Hawn, who won Best Supporting Actress in 1970.

Recently, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell sold their home in Pacific Palisades for $6.9 million after listing it last year at $7.25 million. Hawn, who returns to the silver screen for the first time in 15 years with Amy Schumer in the comedy “Snatched,” and Russell, who co-stars in the spring action-thriller “The Fate of the Furious,” purchased the property in 2004 for a bit less than $4.12 million.
Hey music fans! To celebrate the Grammy Awards this weekend, we bring you another installment of #CelebrityHousefax. This time we’re featuring 8-time Grammy nominee, 1-time winner, Britney Spears.

Spears has been a dance-pop phenomenon and tabloid-headline mainstay since she burst onto the scene in the late ’90s. Born in Mississippi in 1981, Britney first tasted fame as a member of the Mickey Mouse Club, featuring fellow superstars-in-training Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera. Her supremely catchy debut single, ‘…Baby One More Time” was released by Jive Records in 1999. It wasn’t until 2005 that she won her first (and only) Grammy for her hit single, “Toxic.”
Spears, who is no stranger to the limelight, has topped the list of most searched celebrities 7 times in the past 12 years, a record since the inception of the internet. In 2013 Spears launched her namesake Las Vegas show, “Britney: Piece of Me,” which has topped $100 million in ticket sales.

We recently learned that Spears’ California mansion, listed at $7.5M, might soon be sold to one lucky buyer and boy are we JEALOUS!
By popular demand our next edition of #CelebrityHousefax, fittingly features NFL great, Joe Namath. Namath guards his peace and quiet these days, nestled deep inside slow-paced Tequesta, Florida. It’s a stark contrast to decades ago when the name “Broadway Joe” guaranteed world-class fame in his not-so-private world.
Namath’s career spanned the 1960s and 1970s. He played 143 career games with 68 wins, 71 losses and 4 ties. He earned one league championship (1968 AFL Championship) and one Super Bowl victory with the NY Jets (Super Bowl III). He made his name as one of the most popular players in the football industry, and in 1985 he was elected to the Hall of Fame.
In 1999, he was ranked number 96 on The Sporting News list of the 100 Greatest Football Players.
We’re kicking off our new #CelebrityHousefax Series just in time for Super Bowl LI by featuring NFL Legend, John Elway. Where does a 2-time Super Bowl winner call home? You might expect a multi-million dollar mountain retreat, or Texas-size ranch on the Colorado plains. But actually, Elway, one of Colorado’s biggest sports celebrities, lives in the Cherry Hills neighborhood in Englewood, CO.
