Ouch. Here we go again. Another “for sale” sign hammered into my front lawn (I never get used to it). I wonder what new adventures await next? In 40 years I’ve certainly experienced a lot. Here’s my story.
I was born in 1976 in Minneapolis, MN during the time of bold patterns, shag carpets, lead-based paint and asbestos. Groovy, baby!
Four amazing families have called me home. Lots of memories have been created. Lots more to be made.
Personally, I’ve been through quite a bit. Most notably, a fire in 1993 caused by a short circuit in a generator. Not my fault. Thankfully no one was injured, but it did cause $70,000 in damages which were repaired immediately. Following those repairs, I felt like my old self again.
Shortly after my 20th birthday, my water heater needed to be replaced. That’s to be expected at my age. Mr Rooter of Anoka County took care of me and (knock on wood) I’ve been feeling terrific ever since then.
I got a mini facelife (don’t judge!) My new owners replaced my original fireplace for a more efficient and modern one. See ya later 1970s.
Fast forward, and here we are today. I’ve been with my current owners, Bjorn and Tess, for three years, but being a military family, they need to relocate AND soon. They are working with Barbara, a knowledgeable real estate agent who is also a Housefax PRO. I like her. Instead of trying to sweep things under the rug, she lets me tell my story.
Barbara is a smart businesswoman who offers a Housefax Report with every home she lists. In fact, she displayed one during today’s Open House. It makes sense. You wouldn’t buy a used car without a vehicle history report so why would you even consider a home without viewing a Housefax Property History Report?
During the Open House I overheard the Martinez family squeal with excitement about the estimated cell service they saw on my Housefax Report. (Hey, 4 out of 6 bars is impressive for this area). This is especially important to Mrs. Martinez who owns a consulting firm and works out of the house.
As they continued flipping through my Housefax Report, Mr. Martinez commented how much he valued the permits referencing my repairs to the 1993 fire incident. It eased his mind and he voiced no concerns whatsoever. Yippee!
Oh wait. I can overhear them now in my kitchen. I think they are seriously considering making an offer! Could this be my new family? Is this the start of my next adventure…?
That’s my story. What’s yours? Find out with a Housefax Property History Report. #WhatsYourHousefax?
