Lena Headey may not be a household name (yet), but she’s certainly recognizable. In addition to starring in the 2008 TV series “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” the Emmy-nominated actress has appeared in a number of films including “The Brothers Grimm” and “300.” But her most recognizable – and infamous – role to date is as the conniving and power-hungry Cersei Lannister on HBO’s mega-hit “Game of Thrones.”
Now Headey is taking on yet another role — as a luxury home seller, having just listed her Southern California home for $1.9 million.
Fans love to hate Cersei, who was a terrible mother before she became a terrible queen who plots to crush her enemies from a terribly fear-inducing black iron throne.
Headey, on the other hand, favors the sunny vibes of Ibiza, which she used as inspiration to remodel her1951 Midcentury Modern-style home, pairing clean and classic lines with bohemian flavor. She also dotes on her two children, as evidenced by her home’s casual, child-friendly spaces.
Headey’s abode is bright and airy, with high pitched ceilings and warm reclaimed oak flooring. The secluded backyard features a salt water pool and drought tolerant landscaping. The home includes a second floor addition, bringing the number of bedrooms to five.
According to Curbed, Headey is moving with her family to a village outside of London. No word yet on whether she’ll try to usurp the Queen, but we’re sure she’d make a better ruler than Cersei.
